Roofline, Soffits & Fascias Bedford, Milton Keynes

January 26th, 2008

Professional installation is key to protect your home against damp. At Trustyle, we take the care to remove the old fascia boards and complete all the finishing touches to beautify and protect your home.

Installation includes replacing rotten rafter feet, renewing cement on gable end edges and replacing rotten felt up to the first tiling batten.

Hidden ventilation facilities allow for timber to breathe and prevents damp. It allows the circulation of air without the use of ugly looking vents.
The UPVC outer skin on our fascias and soffits are colourfast keeping them looking good year after year.

UPVC is totally low maintenance and wipe-clean, and never needs repainting.

We have a selection of colours including white, black and brown designed to complement our full range of windows and doors.

Options include combining your new fascias and soffits with Trustyle cladding and bargeboards or guttering and downpipes for the complete roofline transformation.

Fascia, Soffit, Cladding, Bargeboard Info For Leicestershire

December 4th, 2007

You’ve heard of all these terms for your home but what do they all mean. Here are some answers to common questions.

Cladding.
Either 150mm wide shiplap or 100mm wide tongue-and-groove cladding can be used which allows for a 25mm overlap and 8mm interlock between planks. The profile is seamlessly nailed between boards. The cladding is fixed to a rigid treated softwood timber batten base fixed to the substrate. A waterproof membrane is installed between the cladding and the battens to protect from any secondary water ingress.

Guttering.
Used to collects rainwater from the roof and carried to the downpipe. Gutters are levelled and aligned to ensure correct gutter ‘fall’. This allows the water to drain efficiently. Available in style to compliment your property.

Downpipe.
Carries rainwater from the guttering to the drain and is available in square or round styles.

Verge-guard.
This protects the weaker tile edge on the gable end of your home. It forms a weather-proof seal ensuring that you’ll never have to repoint. They are supplied in one of three colours to complement your existing roof tiles.

Soffit.
This protects the underside of the rafters.

Fascia.
This protects the end of the rafters and supports the bottom edge of tiles as well as the guttering.

Bargeboard.
This produces a decorative finish to the gable end of your home, sealing the verge.

At Trustyle UK we have a set price per metre so can provide a no nonsense quote in a jiffy across the Midlands, Leicester and Milton Keynes.
