Ventilation
By using Ultraframe we can provide different solutions to ensure an ideal climate for your conservatory.
The Ridgeflow ventilation unit is mechanically assisted and thermostatically controlled to provide up to 4 air changes per hour.
The trickle ventilation ensures a natural upward movement of warm air to carry moisture to the roof apex allowing it to filter outside. The roof vents are well insulated providing a choice of manual or electric openers.
The system also has ventilated support trims which fit between the wall and roof with built-in ventilation and slider on/off control buttons.
Heating
Extending your home’s central heating into your new conservatory is an option along with under-floor heating, electric wall heaters or free standing heating appliances.
Fans
We can supply a large range of contemporary and traditional roof ridge mounted fans for gentle air movement. These can be supplied with either a standard pull string or infra red remote control.
Cresting and Finials
You can choose from a variety of cresting and finial mouldings to personalise the exterior of your conservatory roof.
Ultraselect decorative strips
Unique to Ultraframe, Ultraselect decorative strips create the opportunity to enhance the interior of your conservatory in keeping with the style of your intended furnishings.
Lighting
Integrated spotlights in the roof ridge are available to provide the perfect atmosphere - available in a brass finish.
Plumbing & Electricity
It goes without saying that our fully qualified builders can provide your household utilities to your exact specification!

Do you make custom built Conservatories ?
Yes - every one of our conservatories is made to measure and can be personalised further with creative thinking, design and a large range of accessories and features. At Trustyle, our team specialises in each section of the job so we have professional builders to lay the foundation and other specialists to build the sides and the roof. All our team is employed by Trustyle-Uk, we never use sub contractors.
My old Conservatory still has its base - what’s the next step?
We will check that the base is square and level to determine it’s quality and strength. Don’t forget that we have to put our name to your new conservatory and provide you with a 10-year guarantee. Our designers can assess your existing foundation without obligation, no problem.
The neighbours are not friendly, can we protect our privacy?
Again, our designers can provide ideas for your Conservatory so that it is made private by the thoughtful use of obscure glass, solid panels at the side, blinds or even a solid wall on one side. Other ideas may look at the various shapes of conservatory available. The choices are many and our designers more often than not have heard your concerns many times before and have ready-made solutions.
How much do your conservatories cost?
Our conservatories start with solid, quality foundations, built to last, with high quality Sculptured UPVC panels, Pilkington Glass and Ultraframe Roofs. Well over 90% of our previous customers said they felt our service was excellent in the independent CPA (Consumer Protection Association) survey. We provide an honest, down to earth, reliable service starting at £7,500.
In part two, we’ll be answering more of those common conservatory questions!

Sculptured UPVC Replacement windows offer much better insulation than conventional single glazed windows. The glass that is used to make the sealed units reflects heat back into the room. Also the replacement window frames are fitted for the ultimate seal against draughts. Replacement windows help to keep the heat in, so you can turn down the heating a degree or two and save on fuel bills in perfect comfort.
Getting double glazing quotations and estimates.
With around 9,000 independent window companies across the UK, standards of service and prices vary massively. All window companies will say that they provide a quality window but there are certainly varying degrees of quality.
Always ask as many people, friends and family for personal recommendations as you can. This is the best reference and carries far more weight that any form of advertising that you might see.
In future posts, I’ll list lots of questions for you to ask when thinking about replacing your windows.

Here is part two of our DIY tips guide - Parts 1 - 4 are lower down the page.
Adding Seals
5) This depends on the Porch you’ve purchased. Some will come with strips of plastic or plastic coated sealant to make the joints between the panels neat and waterproof. These are inserted into the panel grooves. These may require pinning.
The Roof
6) Porch roofs are designed to slope away from neighbouring walls so that rain water doesnt collect. The home improvement pack that you purchase will provide the exact angles required to perfect the roof - use a spirit level to get the angles right.
Installing the roof
7) You should find that the roof, the fascia boards and the internal supporting cross members of the roof are secured to the panels, often by pre drilled holes. Your new roof can be finished off with transparent PVC roofing or roofing felt depending on your kit.
Our next post will show you what tools are required to attempt to build your own Porch. Remember, these are just general DIY guides and are not representative of a Trustyle Professionally Built Porch. If you decide to request our brochure you’ll see that our Porches come with solid builder foundations, Fully Sculptured UPVC Panels, Pilkington Glass, the latest technology roofing system, high security designer front door and a 10 year insurance backed warranty across the Midlands and Milton Keynes.

OK, as professional builders of stylish sculptured UPVC Porch’s across the Midlands and Milton Keynes, we hope that you’ll at least consider a quote from us before tacking this very specialised job on your own.
However, we know that some people like a challenge! So here’s the first of our two part tips guide to constructing your own front Porch after purchasing a DIY home improvement kit.
Side Panels
1) Place the first panel to the wall and mark the position of the fixing holes. It’s good to have a friend help with this bit to hold the panel in place while you check its verticle levels using a spirit level.
Additional panels.
2) Remaining panels to the Porch are joined under the constructors guidelines, fixtures and fittings. Some kits come with a slot and lock. Again, having a helper to support the panels whilst you position and secure them will save time - watch out for the glazed sections as these can break if handled without care.
The Door
3) Before doing anything, decide how your door is going to hang and open. Will it hang on the left or right handed side? Do you want it to open inwards or outwards? Once these have been decided you’ll just need to make sure it’s of a good quality and includes a letterbox.
The Base
4) Todays kits often come with panels which slot into a grooved channel at the base and are then secured with the supplied fixings. Your guide will demonstrate the number and spacing so that the panels are secured well.
Our next post will cover your Porch’s seals and Roof.
For those looking for a professionally built Porch, feel free to request our brochure. Our Porch range starts with a professionally built foundation and have fully sculptured upvc to match the style and period of your property. Once built we provide a ten year insurance backed warranty for peace of mind.

Being based in Markfield and having a showroom in Leicester, we are big enough to supply our services throughout the Midlands and Milton Keynes, yet still small enough to provide a customised, local and friendly service across Charnwood.
The latest Replacement windows offer much better insulation than conventional single glazed windows. The glass that is used to make the sealed units reflects heat back into your room. Also the replacement window frames are fitted for the ultimate seal against draughts. Our modern Sculptured frames do not compromise on style either, making for a window to look at as well as to look through.
Trustyle windows help to keep the heat in, so you can turn down the heating a degree or two and save on fuel bills in perfect comfort.
Replacement windows reduce noise from aircraft, passing traffic and late-night revellers, making your home quieter and more peaceful
Security is paramount to us and whilst burglary levels are falling, we certainly aim to keep it that way with high security features, including toughened glass, multipoint locking systems, 5 lever locks, mushroom strikers and deadlocking systems.
We have several of our PVC-U window pictures on this website or feel free to request our brochure.

You’ve heard of all these terms for your home but what do they all mean. Here are some answers to common questions.
Cladding.
Either 150mm wide shiplap or 100mm wide tongue-and-groove cladding can be used which allows for a 25mm overlap and 8mm interlock between planks. The profile is seamlessly nailed between boards. The cladding is fixed to a rigid treated softwood timber batten base fixed to the substrate. A waterproof membrane is installed between the cladding and the battens to protect from any secondary water ingress.
Guttering.
Used to collects rainwater from the roof and carried to the downpipe. Gutters are levelled and aligned to ensure correct gutter ‘fall’. This allows the water to drain efficiently. Available in style to compliment your property.
Downpipe.
Carries rainwater from the guttering to the drain and is available in square or round styles.
Verge-guard.
This protects the weaker tile edge on the gable end of your home. It forms a weather-proof seal ensuring that you’ll never have to repoint. They are supplied in one of three colours to complement your existing roof tiles.
Soffit.
This protects the underside of the rafters.
Fascia.
This protects the end of the rafters and supports the bottom edge of tiles as well as the guttering.
Bargeboard.
This produces a decorative finish to the gable end of your home, sealing the verge.
At Trustyle UK we have a set price per metre so can provide a no nonsense quote in a jiffy across the Midlands, Leicester and Milton Keynes.

Patio doors are the most popular choice for letting extra light into your home as well as giving easy access to your garden. This addition has become a popular way to transform the back wall of your home.
Patio doors give the illusion that the room that they are installed in is larger then it is, due to the effect that the large panels of patio doors bring the garden in to the room making the room much lighter and brighter. The technology, which we use creates a smooth sliding action as well as being well insulated to keep out the winter cold whilst letting the summer light in.
Many home owners who only have a window looking out onto their garden from their lounge or dining room often have that window removed and a set of patio doors inserted, transforming the room.Should you require patio doors larger than the window this normally involves supporting the brickwork above the opening and removing the old lintel forming the new opening and building into position a new lintel.
All Trustyle Patio Doors come with ten-year insurance backed warrantees and are fitted by trained professionals across the Midlands and Milton Keynes. In future posts we’ll be looking at the different types of Patio Doors that are available like Tilt in, Tilt & Slide, In Line, French Doors plus the dozens of creative options available to personalise your choice, like with Georgian Bars, Sculptured Frames, Wood Grain and Brilliant white finishes.

For Building Regulation requirements, here’s a quick summary of the basic facts.
Planning permission is not usually required if your home has already been extended.
If your home is a new build you’ll need to check your sites regulations as new developments often come with building conditions which can vary.
In England and Wales, Building Regulations are not required providing these rules are met:
- Your planned conservatory has a roof made of at least 75% transparent or translucent material. Has at least 50% glazed walls (no more than half of the wall area should be brickwork, masonry or solid panels)
- Has a floor area of no more than 30 square metres.
- Is at ground level. Is permanently separated from the rest of the house by an exterior quality lockable door.
- Has thermostatically controlled heating.
- Is not being attached to a listed building.
- Does not contain sanitary or drainage facilities (one of the likeliest reasons for a conservatory requiring Building Regulation approval is that all or part of it is being used as a kitchen)
- Satisfies the Building Regulations with regard to toughened or safety glass.
