May 13th, 2008

Having fitting hundreds of PVC-U Double Glazed Windows across Nottinghamshire, Trustyle UK have seen a vast range of Glass requirements. In fact you’d be amazed at the options we can provide.

Most quality UPVC Double Glazing companies will use Pilkington Glass in their products and Trustyle are no acception. What you are often not told is just how many choices you really have, something that we can do for your home.

Peoples Double Glazing Nottingham priorities are different but they usually fall into these main categories / Keep Sun Out / Keep Heat In / Protect From Fire / Protect From Crime & Security / Decoration, Appeal & Privacy / Protect From Fire / Self Cleaning Glass.

Now here’s the interesting part. Take a look at the Pilkington Glass options :

Pilkington Activ Clear, Blue, Neutral, Suncool, Anti Fade, Arctic Blue, Cervoglass, Decorative Glass, Eclipse, Energikare, Galleria, K Glass, Microfloat, Spandrel, Texture, T Glass, Optifloat, Satin, Tint, Optilam, Phon, Optimirror, Protect, SN, Optiwhite, Oriel, Planar, Plateau, Profilit, Pyrodur, Pyrostop and Pyroshield.

The Glass in the double glazing makes a big difference to the quality of your installment and your eventual happyness with the job that you have paid for and our designers appreciate this for your Double Glazing in Nottingham.

Conservatory Nottingham : Designing Conservatories Across Nottinghamshire

May 4th, 2008

I’ve just been speaking with one of our designers and he’s just been to visit a couple who were looking to have a Victorian Conservatory designed and built in Nottingham but their house was of substantial size, allowing for a number of possible locations.

So, I thought this article may be of help.

Locating your new sculptured conservatory next to a lounge or kitchen is the more common choice. You may plan to dine in your conservatory so having it close to the kitchen rather than the lounge may suit your purposes better.

You may, on the other hand simply want to extend your lounge to open up into your garden. This option suits many people, especially if your conservatory will be west or east facing.

North facing provides the least amount of heat whilst south facing can provide too much in the summer.

All of these issues can be overcome with the right set of conservatory accessories though, be it adequate ventilation, Pilkington Glass Options, Blinds and Heating.

Your Conservatory Nottingham design is in safe hands with Trustyle UK LTD designers who will look at your requirements, space, budget and options to provide what’s right for you and your family in Nottingham and across the Midlands.

UPVC Window Double Glazing Across Nottinghamshire

February 17th, 2008

Nottingham has a wide range of period and modern properties so tailoring the right home improvement is key to the perfect choice for your home.
Our designers have a wide range of window designs to choose from and we also have Rosewood and traditional Oak as colours as well as traditional brilliant white for more modern property windows.

You may have heard many different terms for modern double glazed windows, like upvc, pvc-u and pvcu. You’ll be pleased to know that they all mean the same thing!

The double glazed part of the window is the glass or sealed unit comprising of two panels of glass. The glass panes are kept apart by spacer bars which contain hundreds of little silica balls which absorb any moisture which exists in the air gap between the two glass panes.

Jargon apart though we supply and fit our Sculptured profile window across Nottinghamshire which our past customers have rated very highly as they are almost like picture frames but with high strength pvc-u compound.

It doesn’t stop their though – the same Sculptured design, Pilkington Glass, PVC-U compound and colour range is offered throughout our doors, conservatories and Porch range.

UPVC Windows In The Midlands, FENSA, CPA Q’s

October 11th, 2007

When comparing window companies you’ll often hear phrases like “Fensa Registered” and “CPA Registered” but what do they mean? And do they hold any keys to the quality of service you can expect?

Firstly FENSA stands for Fenestration Self Assessment Scheme.

This means that all companies registered with FENSA will certify that their work complies with all relevant building regulations and no further action by yourself is required.

If you fit your own windows or use a company that’s not FENSA registered, you’ll have to notify your local council and approval will need to be gained from your local authority.  Its important that all regulations are met as this will crop us when you come to sell your property.

CPA stands for “Consumer Protection Association” and is designed to protect the consumer through carrying our independent “Surveys” where previous customers are contacted by CPA and asked to rate the service they received.

The overall results are then displayed in a pie chart so if 90+ percent of previous customers rated their replacement windows service as either “Excellent” or “Very Good” you’ll know that you are dealing with a quality company.

The trick here is that if a company says they are CPA Registered, ask to see their results!

At Trustyle UK LTD we proudly display our results certificate as its always been excellent and, of course,  we are FENSA registered,  based in Leicestershire and service Nottinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Coventry, Milton Keynes, Midlands.
