Double Glazing Styles For Leicestershire, Midlands

February 9th, 2008

When considering your new double-glazing, you might have noticed that many windows have one frame but are then made up of one or two smaller windows within. These smaller windows are usually the opening windows and the look and appeal of the product is called the “Sight Lines”.

Where the frames are fixed, the glass will be larger. This is known within the industry as unequal sight lines and is perfectly normal to see windows with unequal sizes of glass in them. Take a look around and you’ll see what I mean!

If you see older properties, you’ll notice that the windows often have equal size panes of glass within the frame providing an equal site line. This gives the feeling that all the windows within the frame are the same even though only some of them will actually open.

Our designers are fortunate in that we have a complete and very varied range of pvc-u replacement windows and double glazing options, making it very easy to find the perfect match for any home of any age or style throughout Leicestershire, the Midlands and Milton Keynes.

Often I’ve noticed that for older properties, our Wood Grain effect in Rosewood or Light Oak look superb. These are just a couple of the many exciting choices for your home.
